Moor Farm Shop will be celebrating everything British as they take part in British Food Fortnight, sharing their love for British food with customers. Join the Moor Farm Shop team to celebrate British Food Fortnight from the 17th September until the 2nd October 2011.

 Moor Farm Shop

2011 is the landmark tenth year of British Food Fortnight and the warm up for 2012 British Food Fortnight, which will be taking place at the same time as the London Olympics. During the two weeks, Moor Farm Shop will be promoting the diverse and delicious range of food from British producers with promotions, competitions, recipes and tastings, all in their newly expanded farm shop.

Genuinely British - Home Reared, Home Cooked, Home Made

Homemade Moor Farm Shop Pork Pies
British Hampers, British Breakfast Packs and freshly baked scones and cream are just a few of the exciting things you can expect to see in Moor Farm Shop during British Food Fortnight. There will be a draw to identify favourite products currently on the shelves and customers will be asked to submit ideas for new products that they would like to see at Moor Farm Shop. Fantastic hampers and vouchers to be won!

 Home-reared meat is central to the Moor Farm Shop offering. Rearing their own award winning Hereford cattle and Gloucester Old Spot pigs - what could be more British!

A Love of British Cheese

British Cheese Week 2011 coincides with British Food Fortnight. Between the 24th September and the 2nd October, Moor Farm Shop will be tantalising the taste buds of cheese lovers by developing innovative recipes incorporating cheese; blue cheese sausages and beef burgers stuffed with stilton are just two of the delicious recipes. Moor Farm Shop Chef, Mark Russell-Jones, will be experimenting with ingredients to create innovative British dishes.

A Cheese Tasting Day

A highlight of the cheese week will be a day of cheese tasting on Friday 30th September 2011. Moor Farm Shop will be working with Cheese Cellar to create a local and regional cheese selection. Customers will be invited to explore the delicious flavours of selected artisan cheeses.

Elaine Timmis, Moor Farm Shop, commented;

"This will be the first British Food Fortnight that we celebrate in our increased retail space. Our new shop has allowed us to expand the range of British products that we are able to sell; it gives us great pride to support British farming and British products. The products we select are top quality, fresh, seasonal, local and many are homemade here at Moor Farm Shop. British Food Fortnight is the perfect opportunity for us to shout about our love for British food. We have planned exciting activities and tastings so that our customers can join us to celebrate everything British."
